Just a few things to remember when you are wandering around a store that will save your hard-earned cash!
#1. Be selective! Just because you like it, does not mean it 'needs' to be in your wardrobe. Take a moment to consider your purchase. Will it compliment my existing wardrobe? How often will it be worn?
#2. Stay true to your own style! Look at each item with the opportunity to express your individuality, rather than keeping in the back of your mind what is 'in' and what isn't.
#3. Vintage pieces are special! Don't buy every vintage dress or pair of heels you have your eye on. Instead, consider each item carefully and choose one or two statement pieces - remember quality, not quantity!
#4 Comfort is key! If you're constantly adjusting the straps on your dress, tugging at the waist of your jeans or squeezing yourself into the smaller sizes, it will only end in tears. It's important to sacrifice style for comfort - find a piece that has a similar visual vibe or hunt around for a better size that flatters your shape.
#5. Shop around! Just like our groceries, fashion can be found in many different places. So don't rule out secondhand stores or the smaller boutiques, they often have great prices for unique quality items. Expand your knowledge of local retail establishments.
